A number of particularly important features worth a special note are:
Gas filled shock absorbers, revised spring and damper settings and an enlarged front anti-roll bar that significantly improve the Cortina's ride and handling. A short test drive impressively proves the point!
A black finished aerofoil grille design that deflects excess air flow over the bonnet at high speed. Frontal drag is minimised and the Cortinas Stability improved.

Wrap around front and rear bumpers and rubber bumper inserts, finished in a durable black material, protect the more vulnerable parts of the body from damage.
Enlarged front and rear indicator lenses make sure other drivers know where Cortina is turning. The front lights are wrap around for a clear view from the side and each rear lens incorporates a built in rear fog lamp for added safety protection.
The spring back, black finished drivers door mirror is aerodynamically styled, and mounted directly onto the front quarter moulding - so there's no need to cut the door panel.

A laminated windscreen that, if struck with a flying missile, will probably not shatter. So it's more convenient and safer.
A highly efficient ventilation system with big C pillar extraction vents, and four facia mounted adjustable outlets that will change the air inside the Cortina fast enough for even the most demanding driver.
All new front seats that have been reconstructed to provide a noticeably more comfortable support. An infinitely adjustable wheel type recline mechanism is fitted, and each seat has the safety belt retaining clip attached to it. The rear seat cushion is improved too.

The easy read instrument layout is contained in a facia panel finished in the new 'warm black' (dark brown) environmental colour.
