Cortina Rev Counter Dash Wiring

For the dash with the central clock is as follows:
Plug numbers are taken from the Haynes manual and may not bear a resemblance to the physical order of your plugs.

The green wire to the coil negative side will have to be added. There will be two wires left over a Grey/Yellow instrument illumination wire and a Red permanent live, these can both be extended to feed a clock in the hang down console. A connector can be cut off one of these wires to make the additional wire for the rev counter. If they are not going to be used insulate the ends and tie them up out of the way.
The functions of the wires were taken from the Haynes diagram, for confirmation they can be traced on the printed circuit of the instrument cluster as below in picture 3.
